Yuri Khachaturov's Appearance at the Commission is Very Vital, Says A. Kocharyan
Should Nikol Pashinyan be invited to the commission investigating the circumstances of the April events? This question was posed to Andranik Kocharyan during a press briefing held in the National Assembly.
“As a result of the commission's discussions, we have not seen a need to summon Nikol Pashinyan; he was not in office and does not bear responsibility. Many political figures have expressed their views, and if we need to clarify sources, we will do so with those who have been responsible,” Kocharyan said.
In his statement, he described the appearance of former Chief of General Staff Yuri Khachaturov at the commission as “very vital.”
“Serzh Sargsyan realized that there was not a political motive behind the questions. We did not ask what the situation was like at position 116; it will be understandable for us if the top military officer finds the strength within himself to come before the commission,” Kocharyan added.
