In the Activity of the Clergy, We See More Politics: Prime Minister
The clergy in Armenia has serious reasons to be disappointed, stated Nikol Pashinyan during a Facebook live broadcast.
“Why does the clergy have reasons to be disappointed in modern Armenia? Because the more the existence of ideological power is emphasized in Armenia, the more apparent the lack of spiritual life becomes. As there is a government in Armenia that tries to instill values, it has become increasingly clear that spiritual life suffers from significant gaps and problems due to the sowing of values and ideas, and this creates serious disappointments for the clergy,” he said.
“Today, we sometimes observe political intrigue in the activities of the clergy. In many cases, we see more politics, sometimes political intrigues, than activities that stem from the Bible and its ideology,” he added.
Pashinyan noted that there are also disappointments among various other groups, including media outlets, some entities in the diaspora, individuals who joined the revolution with material expectations, pro-Russian and pro-Western groups, oligarchs, and criminals.
