Direct Work with the Prime Minister is Assigned Not to Public Television Employees But to the Prime Minister's Office: H1's Response to the Prime Minister's Spokesperson
The Public Television of Armenia has issued a statement expressing regret over the dissemination of a video that utilized footage from the preparation for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's live broadcast. The statement reads: “The staff of Public Television deeply regrets the spread of a video involving the use of footage from the preparation for the live broadcast of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. Immediately following the declaration of a state of emergency, Public Television ensured over 50 uninterrupted live connections through the same open channel, under the same conditions, criteria, and procedures at the request of the Armenian government. This fact already attests to the professional and systematic work of the television station.
On April 17 of this year, at 20:00, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan's speech was broadcast via an open channel, which was accessible to 8 other television stations and the official website of the Armenian government. Regarding the live speeches of the Prime Minister of Armenia, we emphasize that direct work with the Prime Minister is reserved not for employees of Public Television but for the Prime Minister's Office. As in the past, in this case, too, an open channel was provided at the request of the Armenian government before the live broadcasts, during which minutes before the broadcast, a connection test was conducted so that the broadcasting television stations could check for any potential issues and resolve them. Before the broadcasts, a Public Television staff member informed the attendees loudly.
