Road Conditions in Armenia: Most Highways are Passable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of April 18, the highways in the territory of Armenia are mainly passable. The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite period.
According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for heavy vehicles after intensive snow removal work.
At the same time, it is reported that the decision to prohibit foreigners from entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transportation.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
