Head of Passport Division of the Police Passport and Visa Department Dismissed
Karapet Tumasyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Dear friends, relatives, and esteemed citizens, due to personal reasons, at my initiative, I submitted a request on April 10, 2020, to resign from the position of head of the Passport Division of the Passport and Visa Department of the RA Police and from the police system. I consider it necessary to inform you about this, guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, and the public service's openness, as well as in consideration of your expressed attitude towards me."
He noted that reflecting on his 16 years dedicated to the police, from the Police Academy to the Passport and Visa Department, where he honed his skills as a public servant for 10 years, he unreservedly accepts and will continue to accept a simple truth: those years were successful in contributing to his development as a person and a specialist, for which he is grateful to the police.
Tumasyan stated that if he were to choose again regarding his higher education and profession, he would choose his beloved educational institution and profession once more. "The highlighted compassion is the characteristic that has accompanied me every moment in my work. How successfully this has manifested and been achievable is left to the judgment of the public and God. I assure you that in any matter, to the best of my abilities, I will continue to stand by your side and serve our country and people. Thank you all for your trust and sincere attitude. May God protect us all!"
