Video: Another Batch of Medical Supplies and Equipment for Fighting the Virus Arrives from China to Armenia
On April 15, with the second special flight organized by the Commandant’s Office, a new batch of medical supplies and equipment necessary for the fight against the novel coronavirus was transported from China to Armenia. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Armenian Deputy Prime Minister and Commandant, Tigran Avinyan.
“Armenia has received over 87,000 protective medical suits, 24,000 medical masks, 20,000 KN95 protective masks, 101 infrared thermometers, medical instruments, and biochemical raw materials for preparing coronavirus diagnostic tests. Most of the batch was procured through the financial assistance of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), Eduardo Eurnekian's companies, the My Step Foundation, the Izmirlian Foundation, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Saint Sarkis Humanitarian Foundation, the Armenian General Benevolent Union, and other donors. The shipment also included medical supplies and equipment procured with state funds and donated by Chinese benefactors.
We express our gratitude to all the agencies involved in the process, as well as to the government of China for supporting the flight,” said Tigran Avinyan.
