Turkey's COVID-19 Death Toll Reaches 1518
As of April 15, Turkey has reported 115 new deaths due to COVID-19 (coronavirus). This announcement was made by Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on his official Twitter account, as reported by Ermenihaber.
The minister noted that during the last 24 hours, 34,090 tests were conducted, resulting in 4,281 new confirmed cases of the virus. During this same period, there were 115 recorded deaths among infected individuals. Additionally, 511 more patients have recovered.
According to official data, there have been a total of 5,674 recoveries from the outbreak in Turkey. Currently, 1,820 patients are in intensive care units.
Thus, as per the latest figures, Turkey has recorded a total of 69,392 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 1,518 deaths. The total number of tests conducted has reached 477,716.
It is important to note that the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Turkey was reported on March 11, and the first death was recorded on March 17.
