National Assembly Discusses Election of Central Bank President
The National Assembly today accepted all the bills discussed yesterday, after which they addressed the election of the Central Bank President. The candidate put forward by the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly is Martin Galstyan, a member of the Central Bank Council and recognized as the best lecturer at the American University of Armenia in 2015.
“The committee has provided a positive conclusion and has been guided by several principles, including professional suitability and experience in the field. A thesis was presented by our colleagues in the committee that working at the Central Bank could be seen as a negative factor, but it can only be presented positively. I urge everyone to vote in favor,” called on Artak Manukyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly.
