According to American Fox News, citing its sources, the first patient infected with the coronavirus was employed at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. This information was reported by РИА Новости.
"Sources believe that the initial transmission of the virus was from bats to humans, and that the 'zero patient' worked in the laboratory before appearing among the population of Wuhan," the channel reported, referencing several sources familiar with the details of the Chinese government's initial actions and who have seen relevant documents.
Additionally, it is noted that the laboratory did not create biological weapons but was supposed to showcase the results of studies on infections conducted by Chinese scientists.
