Worldwide, There Are 2 Million COVID-19 Infected Individuals: A List of Countries by Infection Rates

The number of individuals infected with the new type of coronavirus, COVID-19, has reached 2,066,000 worldwide. According to data from coronavirus research centers reported by Armenpress, the number of deaths has surpassed 126,000. A total of 484,597 people have recovered from the virus.

Leading in the number of infected individuals is the United States, which has 614,246 confirmed cases. The number of deaths here is 26,064, making the U.S. the top country in the world in this regard.

Spain ranks second overall, with 174,060 confirmed cases and a death toll of 18,255.

Italy comes in third, having reported 162,488 confirmed cases and a staggering death toll of 21,067.

France is next in line, recording 143,303 confirmed cases and 15,729 deaths. Following France is Germany, with 132,210 confirmed cases and 3,495 deaths.

The United Kingdom has surpassed the origin country of the virus, China, with 93,873 confirmed cases and a death toll of 12,107. China itself stands out with 82,295 total cases, reporting 46 new cases and 3,342 deaths.

Iran has a total number of confirmed cases at 74,877, with 4,683 fatalities since the outbreak began. Turkey has recorded 65,111 infected individuals, Belgium has 31,119, the Netherlands has 27,419, Canada has 27,063, and Switzerland has 25,936 cases.

In Georgia, there have been 300 confirmed COVID-19 cases, while Russia has reported 21,102 cases and 170 deaths.

Among Arab countries, the United Arab Emirates has 4,933 confirmed cases with 28 deaths, while Qatar has recorded 3,428 cases and 7 fatalities. Compared to these countries, Egypt has a higher death rate, with 178 deaths, but a lower number of infections at 2,350 confirmed cases.

Iraq has 1,400 confirmed cases and 78 deaths, while Kuwait has reported 3 deaths and 1,355 cases.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of countries and territories reporting infections has exceeded 210.
