«Hraparak» newspaper reports: An amusing incident occurred on the Yerevan-Ejmiadzin highway on April 13. Police stopped the vehicle of General Manvel Grigoryan's daughter, who was en route to Yerevan.

When asked where she was going, the general's daughter replied, 'To Yerevan, to buy dog food.' One of the officers expressed surprise, asking, 'What, is there no dog food in Ejmiadzin?' The general's daughter responded, 'My dog doesn't eat Ejmiadzin food.'

Ultimately, the police did not allow the gourmet dog owner to go to Yerevan, and she was forced to return to Ejmiadzin. The informant did not know which of the daughters it was—Aytsemnik, Arpenik, or judge Naira Grigoryan. 'It must have been a difficult judge. But I can say that the car was an SUV,' he said.

Vardan Vardanyan, who maintains connections with the press for Manvel Grigoryan and is a former spokesperson for the YEKM, also did not know if such an incident had occurred. 'Mr. Grigoryan has three daughters, all of whom have many dogs. I'll try to find out,' he said, later adding, 'I couldn't find out.'

Authorities from the police's public relations and information department responded that thousands of people are traveling to and from Ejmiadzin. 'How can we know who is someone’s daughter or someone's wife?'
