The United States leads the world with 560,433 confirmed cases of the virus, with 22,115 fatalities. Spain holds the second position in total cases with 166,831 confirmed, having reported 17,209 deaths.
Italy ranks third with a total of 156,363 confirmed cases and 19,899 deaths. France follows with 132,591 confirmed cases and 14,393 fatalities. Germany has reported 127,854 confirmed cases and 3,022 deaths, subsequently followed by the United Kingdom with 84,279 confirmed cases and 10,612 deaths.
China, the origin of the outbreak, distinguishes itself with a total of 82,160 confirmed cases, having recorded 108 new cases and 3,341 deaths. Iran has reported a total of 71,686 confirmed cases, with 4,474 deaths since the outbreak began.
Turkey has recorded 56,956 cases, Belgium 29,647 cases, the Netherlands 25,587 cases, and Switzerland 25,415 cases. Georgia has confirmed 257 cases, while Russia reports 15,770 cases with 130 fatalities.
In the Arab nations, the United Arab Emirates has 4,123 confirmed cases with 22 deaths, while Qatar reports 2,979 cases with 7 fatalities. Egypt, comparatively, has a higher death rate with 159 fatalities, although the total confirmed cases are lower at 2,065. Iraq shows 1,352 cases and 76 deaths, while Kuwait has 1 death among 1,234 cases.
