Italy Sees Decrease in New Coronavirus Cases in One Day
In Italy, new cases of coronavirus registration in the last day reached 1,396, which is a 10 percent decrease from the cases registered the day before. This was reported by the civil protection agency, as conveyed by TASS.
The figure is a record low for the past month. The number of deaths remains above the 500 level, with 570 people having died from the virus in the past day. The total number of fatalities has reached 18,849, marking the highest mortality rate in the world so far.
In the last day, the number of recoveries has increased by 1,985, surpassing 30,000 since the onset of the pandemic. There has also been a reduction in the number of patients in intensive care units. More than 900,000 tests for the coronavirus have been conducted.
