28 New Cases Confirmed, 12 Cases Were Missed from Statistics: Alina Nikoghosyan
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health of Armenia, Alina Nikoghosyan, wrote on her Facebook page: "As of April 8, there have been 28 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of confirmed cases currently stands at 921. Twelve confirmed cases had been missed from the statistics, which were registered in the last 40 days when the statistics were not being processed through the electronic system. The system is now automated, and statistical data is not affected by human factors. The ministry's principle remains the same: to be open and transparent, which is why we present the following clarification.
As of April 9, there is also a new death case. An 80-year-old patient had a confirmed case of COVID-19 and severe pneumonia complicated by respiratory distress syndrome. The man had accompanying chronic diseases, including arterial hypertension, cachexia, and senile sclerosis."
