Video: Armenians Working in Turkey Return to Armenia

Around 100 Armenians are returning to Armenia from Istanbul in 4 buses; they are already on the road. In an interview with NEWS.am, one of the returnees, Naira Harutyunyan, stated that their financial issues for returning have been resolved by the Armenian government.

"I have worked in Istanbul for 6 years. I was not a registered employee, and when my workplace closed, I did not receive my salary. I stayed at home for 27 days and decided to apply to the Armenian Foreign Ministry. They provided us with contacts of volunteers here who helped us gather as Armenians and return," she said.

Naira Harutyunyan mentioned that they are aware they will need to quarantine upon arrival in Armenia. "We understand the seriousness of the infection, and no one wants to infect their family members. We will follow all the rules," she added.
