700,000 Masks Were Available in the Country When Masks Were Not in Circulation: Gegham Gevorgyan
In Armenia, there were 700,000 masks available at a time when masks were not in circulation, there were masks from underground sources. This was announced today by Gegham Gevorgyan, the head of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition, during a meeting of the Permanent Commission on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly.
“They cannot intervene in price regulation. We cannot limit volumes; if we set a price, a 'black market' will emerge, just like with the masks. As we said, whoever sold masks at a high price will see what happens; those who bought masks at high prices couldn’t sell them officially, leading to the emergence of a 'black market',” Gevorgyan stated.
