More than 1.3 million people worldwide infected with coronavirus: Worldometers
According to data from Worldometers, a total of 1,323,481 people have been infected with the Covid-19 coronavirus worldwide, with 73,603 deaths and 277,273 recoveries.
The United States has recorded the highest number of cases, totaling 352,083, with 10,366 fatalities. The most affected countries in terms of infections are Italy, with 93,187 active cases; Spain, with 81,426 infected individuals; and Germany, with 70,866 cases.
In terms of death rates, the leading countries are Italy (16,523), Spain (13,169), the United States (10,366), France (8,911), the United Kingdom (5,373), and Iran (3,739).
It is noteworthy that the coronavirus pandemic originated from Wuhan, China. The country's authorities informed the World Health Organization about the virus on December 31. On March 11, the global organization declared a pandemic. The virus has spread to over 180 countries.
