National Day of Mourning Declared in China for COVID-19 Victims

In honor of the victims of the coronavirus, today has been declared a national day of mourning in China. During the memorial ceremonies, the national flags at diplomatic missions in China and abroad will be lowered to half-mast, and all entertainment events have been postponed.

At 10:00 AM local time, the entire country will observe three minutes of silence to pay respect to the victims. In a sign of grief, the horns of cars, ships, and trains will also sound.
