Numerous Instances of Citizens Speaking FALSELY Registered: Governor Sanosyan on Passersby
Gegharkunik region governor Gnel Sanosyan made a Facebook post regarding the justifications of citizens passing through checkpoints in the region.
"Regarding false statements... Dear compatriots. You know that at the entrances of the regions, there are police checkpoints (At these points, police are assisted by employees of the NSS, Road Police, the regional administration, and municipal organizations). It is regrettable that numerous instances of our compatriots speaking FALSELY are being recorded.
For example: 'I’m going to Noratus to visit my 27-year-old brother.' In Noratus, thank God, no 27-year-old has died. Another example: 'I’m bringing my mom from Dilijan.' They are in two cars, and there are girls in the cars as well. Yet another one: 'I’m going to Tsovak for my brother’s seven-day memorial.' There is no brother's seven-day memorial in Tsovak; he died a long time ago in the Russian Federation and was buried there. One more: 'I’m going to Geghamasar for grandpa’s funeral.' First of all, grandpa is not dead; it’s some relative of theirs who died a year ago. And this continues...
I kindly ask you, I urge you to simply stay home... Follow the instructions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Stay healthy..."
