Serzh Sargsyan's Office Releases Video on Four-Day War

The office of the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, has released a video dedicated to the heroes of the four-day war.

The video notes: “Four years ago on this day, the large-scale military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan along the line of contact shocked the entire Armenian nation. With each passing hour, the heavy news from the front line kept the people who had witnessed the brutalities of war just a short time ago, and who had endured countless hardships and deprivations, in an unbearable state of anxiety and distress. Such a situation could not be allowed to happen again, and the Armenian people united. Unfortunately, the imminent danger of a large-scale war gathered everyone together. Not only volunteers forming squads from Armenia were heading to the front lines; students ready to stand alongside the border guard soldiers were also joined by our compatriots arriving in Yerevan from all corners of the world on the very first flights.

A total of four heavy days filled with hopes for optimistic news, which would later be referred to as the four-day war or, in the terminology of military experts, as large-scale military operations.

In this situation, the President of Armenia, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, calculated every moment in his actions—there was no time to hesitate on either the military or diplomatic fronts. He knew well the price of war and victory, the strong spirit, and unyielding will of the Armenian soldier. Detailed insights are provided in the video.
