April War's 3rd Anniversary: Were Cars Stolen at Yerablur Uncovered?
According to the 'Jhoghovurd' newspaper, four years have passed since the night of April 1-2, 2016, when the Azerbaijani side began large-scale offensive operations against the Republic of Artsakh. On the night of April 5, Azerbaijani armed forces employed the 'Smerch' multiple rocket launcher system in the southern direction of the front line. By 12:00, a ceasefire was established, and military operations were halted. As a result of these actions, we, the Armenian side, lost 800 hectares of land, which has not even been attempted to be reclaimed four years before and after.
But that was not the only painful news from the April days. Remember that three years after the April four-day war, on April 2, 2019, on the anniversary of the four-day war, cars were stolen at the Yerablur military pantheon, including the vehicle of Armenak Urfanyan's cousin, who was killed during the April War.
Of course, former Police Chief Valeri Osipyan reported that there were suspects in the theft of the vehicles, but to this day, the case has not been solved. 'Jhoghovurd' newspaper has learned that this criminal case has been suspended because law enforcement cannot uncover the perpetrators of the theft. Agree, this is a shame for the law enforcement!' More details in today's issue of the newspaper.
