VIDEO: They Have Always Been Listening to Phone Calls, Says Naira Zohrabyan to Badasyan

The Parliament convened an extraordinary session today. Presenting the agenda items, Armenia's Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan mentioned that it is proposed to make amendments to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Legal Regime of State of Emergency. Among other issues, it was noted that considering the spread of coronavirus even during autopsies, it is suggested that no autopsy be performed in the event of a death caused by the coronavirus disease.

The Justice Minister also informed about another proposal regarding the tracking of individuals to determine whether they have come into contact with a virus carrier, which involves listening to phone calls. For this purpose, the individual would need to download a special application. However, it is not permitted to access the content of phone calls under the pretext of the pandemic.

Member of the National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia faction, Naira Zohrabyan, stated in her speech that she has long known that phone calls are being listened to, although she doesn’t quite understand what benefit that provides them.
