The Number of Coronavirus Infections in Japan Exceeds 2500

The number of coronavirus infections in Japan, including former passengers and crew members of the Diamond Princess cruise ship, has surpassed 2500. This was reported by the "RIA Novosti" agency, citing the NHK television channel.

As of March 29 at 17:00, there were 82 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the country within half a day, 68 of which were in Tokyo. The total number of infections in the country has reached 2518, including 712 infections from the cruise ship. The death toll stands at 65.

It is known that globally, the number of people infected with the new type of coronavirus has reached 664,290, with 30,890 deaths. Over 142,366 people have recovered from the illness.
