Opera Singer Svetlana Kasyan Hospitalized with Coronavirus

Opera singer Svetlana Kasyan has contracted the coronavirus and has been hospitalized. This was reported to Interfax by her husband, Leonid Sevastianov, the head of the Worldwide Union of Old Believers.

“Svetlana is already experiencing bilateral pneumonia,” he noted.

According to Sevastianov, Pope Francis has expressed his support, as he highly appreciates the singer's performance mastery.

Speaking about the incident, Sevastianov drew attention to the fact that his wife fell ill after visiting a church, where she came into contact with other parishioners, one of whom had been infected with the coronavirus.

“I would like to call on everyone to stay home during these days and pray with their families,” said Sevastianov, the head of the Worldwide Union of Old Believers.
