Business Operations of a Dozen Entities in Sisian, Goris, Armavir, Vanadzor, and Yerevan Suspended for Six Hours
The Armenian Unified Information Center reports that based on the decision of the RA Prime Minister, the operations of around a dozen businesses in Sisian, Goris, Armavir, Vanadzor, and Yerevan have been suspended for six hours. This includes branches of major supermarket chains and grocery stores.
The decision is based on the findings of the Health and Labor Inspectorate's ongoing monitoring. Several violations of the guidelines approved by the Prime Minister were recorded, specifically: many employees who interact directly with customers were not wearing masks, there were no closed bins for disposing of used masks (instead, they were thrown in open trash bins), there were no logs for recording employees' temperature checks and no thermometers, the requirement to maintain at least a 2-meter distance between workstations and employees was not followed, and there were no allocated changing areas for work attire; employees' personal clothing was left hanging in open spaces.
The Health and Labor Inspectorate's hotline is 8107. Guidelines containing instructions to be followed by organizations are available on the AALMI official website at http://hlib.am/20.03.2020.html.
Ongoing active monitoring will continue. In cases of violations, penalties may be imposed.
