1889 Citizens Who Violated Self-Isolation Conditions Subjected to Administrative Liability, Says Mhrayan

“The Police of the Republic of Armenia continues its work within the framework of the coronavirus pandemic. As of March 26, the borders of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh have been closed at four points due to the coronavirus, and restrictions related to movement have been imposed,” said Deputy Police Chief Hayk Mhrayan.

He noted that only those individuals who are registered in Artsakh, transportation vehicles carrying freight, persons conducting observations in the upcoming elections in Artsakh, and journalists with the appropriate documentation can go to Artsakh, as well as organizations supplying and feeding the Armed Forces.

“As of 12:00 on March 28, 1889 citizens have been subjected to administrative liability for violating self-isolation conditions, and in the cases where more than the prescribed number was transported in vehicles, in 1843 instances, the passengers were disembarked from the transport. Additionally, 48 cases involved public transport vehicles being penalized for carrying extra passengers,” Mhrayan stated at a press conference today.
