Death Toll from Coronavirus in Turkey Reaches 75
As of March 26, the number of deaths due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in Turkey has reached 75. This was announced by Turkey's Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca on his official Twitter account, as reported by Ermenihaber.
In his post, the minister noted that 1,196 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed following 7,286 tests conducted in the past 24 hours. During the same period, there were 16 more reported deaths among those infected.
The minister also stated that infected individuals and those who have come into contact with them have been quarantined. Koca urged citizens to adhere to the measures being implemented in the ongoing fight against the coronavirus.
Thus, according to the latest data, Turkey currently has 3,629 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 75 deaths. As of March 25, the death toll from the coronavirus was 59. The first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus in Turkey was recorded on March 11.
