China Offers Support to the US in Fight Against Coronavirus

US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed during a phone call held today to collaborate in the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, according to Izvestia.

“In the current situation, China and the United States must unite and fight against the pandemic. Some Chinese companies and enterprises have provided humanitarian aid to the US. The Chinese side understands the difficulties currently faced by the American side and is ready to provide possible assistance and support,” Xi Jinping is quoted by China Central Television.

He also noted that China plans to continue sharing experience and information related to combating the pandemic with the United States. Trump also commented on the conversation: “I just had a good phone call with President Xi of China. We discussed the coronavirus in all its details, which has spread to much of our planet. China has been through a lot and has an overall understanding of this virus. We are cooperating closely,” the American leader wrote on his Twitter page.
