Artsakh has achieved great victories, and fair, free elections will be another victory: President Armen Sarkissian in Artsakh
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has arrived in the Republic of Artsakh on a working visit today.
"I often visit Artsakh, in a sense, as my home. This is one of my many visits," the President of Armenia said in a conversation with journalists in Stepanakert, adding that he does not need a special reason to visit Artsakh.
"We have much to discuss with President Bako Sahakyan regarding the overall situation and the circumstances prevailing at the borders these days. Of course, during my visit, we cannot ignore the prospects for the economic development of Artsakh and investment opportunities," he said.
The Armenian President stated that although his visit is not connected to the upcoming elections in Artsakh, he is nonetheless interested in how the campaign is progressing and what preparations have been made. He plans to talk about this topic with the President of Artsakh as well.
"I do not plan to meet with any candidates. However, perhaps I will take the opportunity to address all candidates, first and foremost wishing each of them success, and wishing success to all of Artsakh," Armen Sarkissian noted.
It is very significant that these elections are also fair. The people of Artsakh are a heroic and victorious people. Artsakh has achieved great victories, and fair, free elections will be another victory. This time there will be a political victory, demonstrating to everyone, primarily to themselves—the residents of Artsakh, to the entire Armenian nation, to the friends of Artsakh and Armenia, and to those who are not friends but rather adversaries or enemies—that this state, the Republic of Artsakh, is strong, has superb organizational structures. This state is powerful not only due to its small but significant economy but also because of its army and dedication.
