No Cases of Coronavirus Infection Recorded in Artsakh

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding the current situation of the spread of the coronavirus infection. The statement particularly emphasizes:

“In order to prevent the penetration of the coronavirus (COVID-19) into the Republic of Artsakh (RA) and to maintain a stable epidemiological situation in the republic, we urge the citizens of the Republic of Artsakh to:

• Avoid holding events involving foreign citizens in the territory of the republic.
• Organize foreign visits only if strictly necessary, following the statistics on the spread of the infection from the World Health Organization.
• Temporarily refrain from visiting countries with a spread of the infection, particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States of America, as well as EU and other European countries (especially Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Austria).

Citizens currently in the aforementioned countries are advised to contact the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh or the Armenian diplomatic representations operating in those countries (link). Citizens returning from countries with widespread cases of the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) are subject to the regulations applicable to Armenian citizens (14-day self-isolation, unless a decision is made to stay in a special quarantine location).

At the same time, we encourage citizens of the Republic of Artsakh currently abroad or planning to travel abroad to contact the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Contact details are as follows:
