“The world is heading towards very difficult times, which require maximum care and attention from all of us. I am speaking to you today not as a footballer, but as a son, as a father, and finally as a person who is concerned about the recent developments that have affected the entire world. It is important that we all follow the recommendations of the WHO (World Health Organization) and governing bodies on how to handle the situation at hand. Preserving human life is above everything else. I want to direct my thoughts to those who have lost a loved one during this time. My solidarity goes out to all those who are fighting against the virus, like my teammate Daniele Rugani, and I extend my endless support to the wonderful healthcare workers who, risking their lives, are helping others,” wrote Ronaldo on Instagram.
