MPs Will Carry Out Their Work Duties Online
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has made a post on his Facebook page:
"Circular to MPs and staff of the National Assembly:
Dear colleagues,
To reduce the likelihood of the spread of the coronavirus, to contribute to the effectiveness of the healthcare system, and to overcome the infection, it is crucial that each of us actively participates. Therefore, I urge that, out of responsibility for public health, MPs and staff of the National Assembly minimize physical contact with others as much as possible and perform their work duties online. Additionally, colleagues who have traveled on business or have had physical contact with representatives of any risk group in the past two weeks should temporarily self-isolate as much as possible.
I also call on everyone to strictly follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, frequently disinfect hands and frequently touched surfaces, avoid touching the face, and refrain from participating in mass gatherings.
At the same time, I would like to inform that considering the non-standard course of the educational process in kindergartens and schools due to infection prevention, disciplinary penalties will not be imposed on National Assembly employees who have children attending kindergarten or elementary school and are responsible for their care for short-term absences during the working day, within reasonable limits.
With respect and best wishes for health,
Ararat Mirzoyan"
