I Call on Banks to Suspend Interest Collection on Loans for 2 Months: Hrant Bagratyan

I call on all commercial banks to suspend the collection of interest on loans for a period of two months, starting from March 15, 2020, while leaving the payments on deposits unchanged. This was stated by former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan on his Facebook page.

“Justification: For more than 20 years, the level of taxation in the banking system of Armenia has been several times lower than in other sectors of the economy due to incorrect policies,” he noted.
