The Existence of the Republican Party Disturbs Nikol and Aliyev, Says Armen Ashotyan

Republican Party Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan wrote on his Facebook page: "The pathological fixation on the existence, work, and ideas of the republicans does not give peace to the leaders of the two states — Nikol and Aliyev. The latter, during yesterday's session of the Azerbaijani parliament, again spoke of us, accusing us of being fascist. Of course, our national-conservative ideologies stand in stark contrast to his views, as he clearly prefers forces that reject 'isms', lack values, and mock nationalism.

Aliyev even referred to our coat of arms, comparing it to the Nazis. Unlike some, we have not showered him with praises and approach with understanding the fact that one of the ancient Indo-European symbols may provoke such associations for him. I also understand that it would be much more familiar for Aliyev to see a four-legged, furry animal before his eyes.

His expressed joy about our failure to pass the last elections can only be measured against the delight of today’s Armenian authorities. As for who put such words in Aliyev’s mouth, I won’t say; you all know it as well.

PS: Tell those ruling in the streets that yesterday Aliyev also spoke stupidities regarding the Artsakh issue for the world to hear. If they lack the time, intellect, knowledge, or guts, let them say so; we will respond to that as well."
