I Was Embarrassed, I Wouldn't Want the Prime Minister to Apologize to Me: A Young Man from Kourtan

Speaking about the Prime Minister's response, Mekhak said in an interview with Lurer.com that he felt bad about it. “I was embarrassed, I wouldn’t want the Prime Minister to apologize to me,” said the young man from Kourtan, noting that at that moment, Sipan Pashinyan, the Prime Minister's nephew and a member of the National Assembly, visited their home.

The 34-year-old Mekhak Arakelyan from Kourtan said he was caught off guard by the Prime Minister's reaction that day and did not expect such treatment, which is why he could not fully represent the situation. “The mistake was mine, I froze, I was embarrassed, I couldn’t speak. On Facebook, they write all sorts of things about me, calling me ‘a homeless person,’ but they don’t understand what I was trying to say. When the Prime Minister started getting agitated, I didn't say anything; at that moment, I was offended, but whether I get offended or not, nothing will change,” said Mekhak.

It is noteworthy that on March 7, during a visit to the Lori region, 34-year-old resident of Kourtan, Mekhak Arakelyan, approached the Prime Minister and asked for assistance regarding housing issues. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan admonished Mekhak live on air, urging him to work and create a home for himself instead of turning to the Prime Minister for such requests. It is important to mention that today, the Prime Minister apologized to the young man from Kourtan and to all citizens of Armenia.
