Video: A 26-Year-Old Stabs a 34-Year-Old Man in Ashtarak
On March 8, at 23:20, the Ashtarak police department received a report that a fight and stabbing had occurred in the Linchi neighborhood of Ashtarak.
On the same day, at 23:35, the hospital notified the police that a 34-year-old resident of Ashtarak had been admitted with a diagnosis of "stab wound to the left side of the chest, with cuts and punctures projected at the 8th-9th intercostal space, and a stab wound to the left thigh."
Officers who arrived at the hospital determined that around 23:00, during a dispute on Linchi Street in Ashtarak, an unknown person stabbed the victim twice with a sharp instrument, inflicting serious injuries.
On March 9, as a result of operational-investigative measures, the identity of the 26-year-old man who caused the injury was established. After some persuasion, he presented himself to the Ashtarak police department at 13:10 and provided a confession.
The knife used in the crime was discovered and seized. Examinations have been ordered. The investigation is ongoing.
