This is Azerbaijan's another attempt to deliberately escalate the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On March 10, a contract serviceman of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Private Zohrap Grigori Siayanosyan (born in 1984), sustained fatal gunshot wounds as a result of a ceasefire regime violation by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the Nakhchivan section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border. We express our deepest condolences and support to the family and relatives of the fallen serviceman.
In recent days, this is Azerbaijan's latest attempt to deliberately escalate the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. On March 6, the Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to carry out a diversionary infiltration in the Tavush region.
Azerbaijan's repeated attempts to escalate the situation at the state border with Armenia, expand the geography of tension, and not implement the existing mechanisms aimed at reducing tensions indicate that Azerbaijan's actions jeopardizing regional security and peace are deliberate in nature.
Such actions by Azerbaijan demonstrate that the establishment of international mechanisms for risk reduction in the Karabakh peace process is an important priority, and the implementation of existing agreements in this direction is a necessary condition for the further advancement of the peace process.
