The Mayor of Tsaghkadzor Did Not Enter the 'Golden Palace' Building: He Responds to the Governor's Statement

The Mayor of Tsaghkadzor, Artur Harutyunyan, has commented on his alleged delivery of flowers to women and girls in quarantine for International Women’s Day, following a statement from the Kotayk region governor.

In an interview with Armenpress, Harutyunyan stated that he did not enter the building himself. “I handed over the bouquets of roses to designated staff; I did not go upstairs as strict supervision is in place and no one is allowed to enter,” said the Mayor of Tsaghkadzor.

The Armenian Ministry of Health has assured that no one is permitted to enter the hotel currently, as it is a quarantine zone. On March 10, during an annual wrap-up press conference, Kotayk region governor Romanos Petrosyan claimed that the mayor visited the 'Golden Palace' hotel and presented flowers to women and girls in quarantine.

A total of 31 individuals who have come into contact with a person infected with the coronavirus have been isolated. The isolated individuals are being held at the non-operational 'Golden Palace' hotel in Tsaghkadzor.
