The Helicopter is Not a Luxury, But a Means of Transportation: Pashinyan Clarifies

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed his use of a helicopter to travel to Meghri during a campaign rally in Kajaran today. "There is a fresh topic today regarding my arrival to Agarak from Yerevan by helicopter, and they have found a violation of the law, claiming I traveled for the campaign using state transportation. To those who haven't noticed, I came here by state car from Meghri. Why did I come by state car? Because I cannot not come, dear people, because according to the laws adopted by those nonentities (but what a good name it is, right? These improvisations are the best things in these political processes), the Prime Minister is considered a high-risk official and even cannot refuse this protection. Now, even if I tried to escape from here, the people would run after me to catch me. This has happened once, and we had to escape with my family during a panic when they were searching for us.

Furthermore, the law states that state transportation restrictions do not apply to individuals under state protection when using state resources. When they write that I went to this place by helicopter, they want to show that I have become a Prime Minister who enjoys luxuries. The helicopter is not a luxury, but a means of transportation," he said.
