"Lecherous, Brainless Hen": Will the Council Member Be Dismissed After the Scandalous Post?

The recent brutal beating and murder of a 42-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter in Gyumri continues to be a hot topic of discussion online. Public figures are also commenting on the matter. In particular, Ashot Mirzoyan, a member of the Environmental Commission of the Public Council, made a shocking post on his Facebook page, referring to the deceased woman as a "lecherous, brainless hen." The full post is presented below:

“A 43-year-old lecher has pulled in a 28-year-old guy, occupied him, not allowing him to start a family. So, should that 28-year-old respect her? I wouldn’t even be surprised if he does anything to that 13-year-old girl. What difference does it make if this scum is 15 years older or younger? But that lecher (may the earth not speak here) accepted a lover in front of the little girl. What a disgrace... A brainless hen,” wrote Ashot Mirzoyan, whose post has sparked intense discussions and has been deemed an endorsement of violence by many.

In response, the office of the Public Council of Armenia issued a statement, which specifically mentioned: “The Public Council condemns calls that justify violence and officially states that any statement, call, message, post, or opinion by members of the Public Council and/or committee members cannot be attributed to the Public Council, as long as the statement has not been approved in a meeting of the council or committee and does not express the absolute majority’s opinion and approaches. However, the dissemination of such content by a member of the Public Council will receive an appropriate response from the Public Council, and considering A. Mirzoyan's unacceptable public behavior contradicting legal norms and several ethical principles, the issue of his further membership will be mandatory for discussion in the upcoming meeting.”
