How Can 'No' Say No to 'Yes'? - Sasun Mikayelyan

"Yes" represents all our rights, our history, the velvet revolution, our psychology, the state and nationhood, and our holy mothers who sacrificed their children during the war, said Sasun Mikayelyan during a meeting with citizens in Kajaran today.

He noted that the previous authorities took 'yes' by means of 'no' and shaped it according to their desires through certain individuals. "A leader who loves the people will never lead them down another path," Mikayelyan stated.

According to him, we have overcome difficulties as a nation, and today we must unite and fight for our rights and freedom collectively. "We are not the previous authorities who say that this Constitutional Court must be this way, this law must be this way. We have come, we appeal to you, we ask you to change all this," Mikayelyan declared.

He insisted that the Constitutional Court has consistently violated our rights over the years, enacting anti-people laws that have been upheld by the Court. "The power that was taken from you, we have returned it to you; there are laws that must be enforced. For 20 years, we could not demand our rights from anyone, and today we have the greatest opportunity for people to say 'yes' with their ideas," Mikayelyan said, adding that all the points he raised lead to 'yes', because we have seen that 'no' before.

"How can 'No' say no to 'Yes'?" Mikayelyan concluded.
