All Bonuses Granted According to Law and Personal Savings, Petrosyan
All bonuses have been granted according to the law and from personal savings. This was stated by the Governor of Kotayk Province, Romanos Petrosyan, during a meeting with journalists on March 10.
Addressing this phenomenon, he noted that there is nothing wrong with it; this is a reward for people’s work.
The governor did not specify the amount of bonuses given to the employees of the governor's office, mentioning that 107 people are performing work instead of 127, as 20 vacant positions have yet to be filled.
“Part of the problem is that it is difficult to find candidates that meet the requirements, and in some cases, the issue is related to low salaries. For example, a first-category specialist receives 77,000 drams, despite the fact that this is not an office job but rather active work on-site. Aside from the aforementioned factors, some vacant positions have not been filled by 20-25% against the backdrop of expected optimization, therefore, it was not advisable to hire employees only to later reduce staff,” he clarified.
