You Can Rely on Me in My New Position: Donald Tusk to Prime Minister Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Donald Tusk, President of the European People's Party, in Brussels at the EPP headquarters. This was reported by the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

Welcoming the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk stated, “Mr. Prime Minister, I am pleased to welcome you in my new position, but with old traditional friendship. This is not only about you but also about our traditional friendship with Armenia. You can rely on me in my new position.”

Tusk emphasized that there is a high level of trust towards the new authorities of Armenia and personally towards Prime Minister Pashinyan among the public and political figures in Europe. This is a significant political capital.

Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and attitude, noting, “We appreciate your role in the development of Armenia-EU relations. We are confident that in your capacity as EPP President, you will contribute to further development and progress in our cooperation.”

The Prime Minister also discussed the ongoing judicial reforms taking place in the country, including the circumstances surrounding the upcoming constitutional amendment referendum. There was also an exchange of thoughts on the ongoing consistent processes in the fight against corruption in Armenia.
