VIDEO: Attempted Murder in Agavnavatoun Village

On the night of March 5, the "Vagharshapat" medical center reported to the police station in Vagharshapat that a 36-year-old resident of Agavnavatoun village had been admitted with a gunshot wound. The operational investigative teams that arrived at the hospital clarified that the man had been transported from Agavnavatoun village.

At the scene, in front of house number 30 on Barsesgh Nersisyan Street in the village, shell casings from a firearm were discovered. The gunfire had damaged the victim's car and the gate of the house.

Officers from the Vagharshapat police station, in collaboration with the main department of criminal police, regional departments of Armavir and Lori, as well as partners from the investigative body, uncovered the attempted murder through fresh leads. The identity of the shooter was established.

With the same operational efficiency, criminal investigators discovered and apprehended the 34-year-old suspect. The resident of Armavir region was presented to the territorial investigation department by the police and was arrested. He has been charged, and the chosen measure of restraint is detention. Efforts are ongoing to locate the firearm, and the investigation of the criminal case continues.
