The head coach of the Armenian national team, Rafael Mehrabyan, is satisfied with the preparation training and expects to secure at least three spots at the upcoming competitions. "We have conducted several training camps since the beginning of the year. We trained for 16 days in Tsaghkadzor, then we went to Ukraine and held a joint training camp with the second teams of Poland, Czechia, and Ukraine. After this camp, we participated in several effective competitions. A few days ago, we held test matches, and the boxers made a good impression. The number of spots will depend on the venue, the draw, and the objectivity of the referees," said Rafael Mehrabyan.
It should be noted that during the London tournament, men competing in the 52 kg, 57 kg, and 63 kg weight categories will fight for eight spots each, while the 69 kg, 75 kg, and 81 kg categories will have six spots each. For the 91 kg and +91 kg categories, four spots each will be contested. Women in the 51 kg category will compete for six spots, and those in the 69 kg category for five spots. The qualifications in boxing are named places.
