A Video Has Been Released from the Landslide Area in Nerkhin Charbakh
On March 8, at 20:48, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call that two citizens were trapped in a pit approximately 3-4 meters deep, under a landslide of 1 meter of earth, near the cemetery in the Nerkhin Charbakh district of Yerevan.
Emergency teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, including two firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Service, operational groups from the Organizing Department for Firefighting and Rescue Operations, and the National Center for Crisis Management, along with a special rescue team from the Administration of Special Rescue Operations and a psychologist from the medical support department, rushed to the scene.
It was determined that a landslide occurred near a pit approximately 4 meters deep dug for a water line at the intersection of 1st and 11th streets in Nerkhin Charbakh. Garegin M. (born 1968) and Gagik G. (born 1982) were found in the pit, trapped under about 1 cubic meter of earth.
The rescuers retrieved the bodies of Garegin M. and Gagik G. from beneath the landslide. The psychologist from the medical support department provided psychological assistance to the families of the deceased. The rescuers conducted boundary demarcation work.
