The employees of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee have uncovered crimes against state service and economic security. Recently, operational information was received indicating that a significant quantity of engine oil was being imported from Georgia to Armenia by a freight truck without customs clearance.
In response to the received information, employees of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the SRC developed and implemented large-scale operational and investigative measures. During this period, a freight truck driven by citizen A.T., which was under operational control, entered the Bagratashen customs checkpoint of the Eastern Customs Directorate on February 26, underwent weighing, and was parked in the customs control zone. Three days later, the truck exited the customs checkpoint area without obtaining customs clearance and headed towards Ayrium in the Tavush region, where its further movement was halted by the employees of the SRC Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department.
A criminal case has been initiated concerning the apparent crimes at the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee, according to the relevant articles of the RA Criminal Code. During the search of the truck's cargo compartment, approximately 12 tons of motor and compressor oil were discovered.
