Medications via Postal Service: Parliament Approves Bill in First Reading

The Parliament has approved in the first reading the proposal to amend the law on medications, presented by My Step Alliance MP Sisak Gabrielyan, with 95 votes in favor, 0 against, and 12 abstentions.

It is proposed in the draft that shipping medications from abroad to Armenia via postal service will be allowed. “We frequently encounter messages like, ‘People, is there anyone from Moscow, Europe who needs a box of medicine?’ Under the current regulation, a person can carry medications when crossing the border, but if it is ordered via postal service, receiving it is prohibited. This regulation proposes to allow receiving medications through postal services, no more than once a month in the name of an individual. The quantity will be determined by the Government,” noted the MP.
