Dear Authorities, You Need to Make a Decision: Davit Khajakyan

Yerevan City Council's 'Light' faction leader Davit Khajakyan has stated on his Facebook page: 'Yesterday, information circulated in the media, and I personally verified that the YES headquarters of hundreds of commission members has submitted a list of individuals who were nominated in the previous nationwide elections by the Republican Party and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation.'

'I will not express thoughts containing political racism. Political divisions aimed at discrediting individuals are unacceptable. But the issue is that when the Free Democrats Party did not prohibit its supporters from participating in electoral commissions, those very authorities, who represented more than a hundred only as precinct chairpersons from the aforementioned forces, hypocritically exploited the decision of the Free Democrats, claiming that by doing so, the Free Democrats support NO. If we remain free from double standards with this reasoning, we must insist that the Republican Party and the ARF also support YES.'

'Moreover, if the Freedom Radio Station is not the one carrying this bias, then today, as in previous instances, it should prepare a report presenting the Republican Party’s and ARF’s support for YES. Of course, applying the authorities' logic will seem surreal. The authorities are trying to rid themselves of the Constitutional Court chairman through a referendum, where hundreds of commission members and chairs were involved a year ago by the very forces that elected this same Constitutional Court chairman.'

'Dear authorities, you need to make a decision; it requires the will to resist the temptation of meaningless exploitation. And in general, make up your mind, are you white with black shades or black with white shades?'
