VIDEO: NSS Disclosure - Citizens Transported Abroad for €3500-€3800
The National Security Service of Armenia has revealed another incident of illegal migration organization, treating it as a type of transnational crime. The agency is consistently combating this phenomenon based on international law and domestic legislative norms.
According to the obtained factual data, from July 2018 to February 2020, a group of individuals residing in Yerevan and the Aragatsotn region, in preliminary agreement and with profit-making intent, undertook to organize the illegal transport of more than 20 citizens of Armenia abroad for a fee ranging from €3500 to €3800.
To secure the necessary entry permits, they prepared counterfeit documents, including marriage certificates, employment letters, and bank account statements. Using these documents, migrants were able to leave the Republic of Armenia with entry permits obtained from several embassies of European countries operating in Armenia and illegally entered countries within the Schengen Agreement.

The individual confessed to committing the crime, while others have left the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The investigation into the case continues, and measures are being taken to identify all related crimes and hold responsible individuals accountable.
